About Us

about-usAIMM, Adventist International Medical Missionaries, has its humble beginnings as a family trip to the island nation of St. Lucia by the Faulkner and Evans family of the Mount Sinai Seventh Day Adventist Church in Queens Village NY in the summer of August 2007. During this trip, the family decided to devote some of their vacation time to doing missionary work by conducting health talks and cooking classes. The enthusiasm, eagerness, and need that were expressed by the people who attended these classes convinced the family that they must return to St. Lucia to offer more help. Little did they know that this act would spark the beginning of something beyond the ordinary. In August of 2008, a return trip to St. Lucia was planned with several members of the Mount Sinai Seventh Day Adventist Church, themed “Project Hope”. For this trip, several barrels of food, clothing, shoes and other necessities were packed for distribution in various villages of the island. Also, 10 computers were donated to the LaBayee Seventh Day Adventist Elementary School for them to start a computer lab. The missionaries conducted health clinics in which villagers were screened for hypertension and diabetes. They also gave practical health advice and encouraged lifestyle changes which would help prevent and/or manage these deadly diseases. In addition, the evangelistic team distributed dozens of bibles, books and other literature which were greatly appreciated by the people. Once again, the needs were so great, and the missionaries were so blest, that everyone unanimously agreed to do a follow-up visit the following year. In August of 2009, members of the First White Plains and the Mount Sinai Seventh Day Adventist churches joined forces to plan another mission trip, and thus AIMM was born. Today, AIMM has grown into an international humanitarian organization whose members are professional volunteers from various Seventh Day Adventist Churches in the United states and other parts of the world. The mission of AIMM is to show the love of Christ by ministering to the needs of individuals who are less fortunate or under-serviced in local and global communities.
